Quick Background
Since 1999, Ground Support Systems (GSX) has supported the mission of restoring power and communications, bringing safety and peace of mind to millions of people throughout the United States and its territories in the wake of unexpected calamities.
Our teams do whatever it takes to support the mission to restore power, communication and telecom for utilities and their customers, while also handling logistics such as yard management, food, shelter, fuel and maintenance on bases in all locations, no matter how remote.
Mission Categories
Power Restoration Support
Power restoration is a TOP priority in wake of disasters. Lives typically depend on it, as does recovery and reconstruction. Utilities are overwhelmed, and need support.
Telecommunications Restoration
When power goes down, so does telecom. Our Temporary power solutions get communications back up and running, and support recovery and reconstruction.
Fuel Team Operations
Restoring power to large populations often requires specialized teams who know, trust, and work together. Most importantly: they have each others' backs!
Damage Assessment Teams
Our Damage Assessment Team Leaders are the tip of this spear, providing experience when needed. You will undergo efficient and timely training to transition from a volunteer, to an expert ready to identify and report damage easily.
